HEYC Mountain Trail Experience 2010 
The Haudenosaunee Environmental Youth Corps took another step towards developing a more prepared corps for our Migration 2013 project. We expanded our trips to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and headed to the Tuscarora State Forest near Carlisle, PA. Because of the intensity of the 3-day hike we opened to trip to Haudenosaunee 18 years of age and older. The Corps was established in 2008 in preparation to the 2013 Commemorative Tuscarora Migration Walk. The mission of the camping trips is to arm the students and community members with the tools and knowledge to sustain themselves and understand the various environments they will encounter during the summer 2013. |
